E-Journal : Teknik Pemeriksaan Radiografi OS Femur Pada Kasus Fraktur Di Instalasi Radiologi RSU Mitra Sejati
The calcaneus is the largest and strongest bone in the foot, located under the talus. Forms the heel and joints with the talus superiorly and the cuboid anteriorly. Calcaneus spur is the appearance of bone spurs in the heel area or calcaneus bone which can cause pain, problems when walking, limited movement, and impaired functional activities before ever experiencing pain in the heel. Caused by work or hobbies that involve foot activities for too long. Calcaneus spur is also associated with obesity, osteoarthitis. The aim of the research is to determine the radiographic examination technique of the calcaneus ossa which is commonly used in clinical spurs at the Radiology Installation at Medan General Hospital. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was carried out from June to July. The research results show that the procedure for radiographic examination of the Ossa calcaneus with a clinical spur according to the literature review includes patient preparation, preparation of tools and materials, radiographic examination techniques of the calcaneus with right and left lateral and bilateral projections. The conclusion from all the journals obtained explains the description of the calcaneus ossa with clinical indications that the spur is optimal because the bone and skin tissue are clearly defined.
